Vivood Landscape Hotel
LOCATION: Benimantell, Alicante, Spain
ARCHITECTURE: Daniel Mayo Pardo, Agustín Marí & Pablo Vázquez Ortiz
YEAR: 2015
STYLE: Modular Architecture / Contemporary Landscape Minimalism
Nestled within the mountainous landscape of Alicante, Vivood Landscape Hotel explores a contemporary approach to hospitality based on simplicity, prefabrication and a close relationship with nature. Located near the village of Benimantell, the project offers an architectural experience shaped by the dramatic terrain of the Guadalest Valley.
The hotel consists of individual accommodation modules carefully positioned across the hillside. Rather than imposing a conventional building on the landscape, the architectural concept distributes smaller structures throughout the site, allowing the natural topography to guide their arrangement.
Each suite is oriented towards the surrounding mountains, with expansive glazed façades framing panoramic views. The relationship between interior space and the landscape becomes the defining feature of the accommodation.
The use of prefabricated construction plays a central role in the project’s architectural identity. Lightweight modular structures allow for a controlled building process while supporting an approach intended to reduce disruption to the natural setting.
Inside, the design is deliberately restrained. Clean lines, contemporary finishes and a limited material palette create a sense of calm, directing attention towards the changing light and the landscape beyond.
Vivood Landscape Hotel presents an alternative vision of rural hospitality, where architectural innovation and environmental sensitivity work together to create an experience rooted in place.
